The ominous and threatening storm clouds forming on the mountains behind the beach introduced unexpected drama for me. As I approached the sunny beach and started taking photographs, I was unaware of the changing weather behind me. The clouds were building and building fast. So, when I turned to take photos from the waters edge, I couldn’t believe my eyes and my good fortune.
I think you will agree the cloudy skies provides a dramatic backdrop to the blue and white boats as well as all the other colors present. One can imagine the years of tough sailing represented by the mottled hulls I captured. They tell of stories as limitless as the expanse of the sea. I recommend reading “The Painted Canoe” by Anthony Winkler to get the idea of one thrilling possibility.
